Financial criteria  

 

We make equity investments in businesses which we think have the potential to substantially increase their value in three to five years.

The businesses we seek have:

  • ambitious entrepreneurs leading the business
  • clear business objectives
  • a compelling business proposition
  • the potential to deliver attractive financial returns

Stage

Growth capital, early stage (must be able to demonstrate commercial traction), MBOs and MBIs.

Investment Range

Between £500k and £10m. We invest alone, co-invest and syndicate.

  Social criteria

 

We invest in ambitious growth business in the following four investment themes:

Underserved Areas

We invest in ambitious businesses in the 25% most deprived wards* in the UK where we can make a difference by creating jobs and/or stimulating the local economy.

Focus: Generalist, but experienced in leisure and hospitality; consumer products and services; business and financial services; manufacturing and distribution

Environment

Focus: Protection of the environment; efficient industrial processes; promotion of resource efficiency

Education & Skills

Focus: Vocational training; broadening accessibility and outcome of education and training through innovative delivery methods; solutions addressing NEETs and excluded pupils

Health & Well-being

Focus: Domiciliary provision; community services; outsourcing of specialist services; promotion of health & well-being to a broad range of communities
