Dr Chai Patel
Dr Chai Patel is Chairman of Court Cavendish and a Partner of Elysian Capital.
He was formerly Chief Executive and architect of the modern Priory Group, the UK's largest independent specialist mental health and education services group, until his resignation in February 2007.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and has been a member of the Government's Task Force for Older People and for Better Regulation.
He is a Trustee of the IPPR and the Windsor Leadership Trust, a Member of the Advisory Board of Bridges and formerly a Senior Associate of the King's Fund.
He has received an Honorary Doctorate from the Open University and in 1999 was awarded a CBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to the development of social care policies.
