Tom Singh

Tom Singh is one of the UK's most successful entrepreneurs and investors. He founded the New Look chain of women's fashion stores in 1969 with a single store. The chain now operates more than 750 total stores in the UK and Europe. Tom served as an active executive board member until March 2006 and continues to serve as a non-executive member of the board.

Tom's current interests lie in private equity funds, hedge funds and direct investment opportunities. The Singh Family's interests are actively developing their investment portfolio in the emerging markets, clean technology, sustainable investment, and property.

Tom is the Chairman of TIE in the UK, a founder member of the Social Investment Task Force and is active as a philanthropist. The family's charitable activities include eye care and education in India. The family is also is a key investor and venture partner in a UK based Cleantech Fund.

Tom is a graduate of the University of Wales, Aberystwyth where he studied international politics and geography.
