Social Entrepreneurs Fund
The Bridges Social Entrepreneurs Fund aims to address the funding gap often faced by fast growing social enterprises looking to scale. Seeded by the Bridges Charitable Trust in 2008, the fund was launched in August 2009 and has raised nearly £12m for investment in scalable social enterprises delivering high social impacts and operating sustainable business models.
We tailor each investment to ensure that it fits the needs of each particular social enterprise, while also allowing the Bridges Social Entrepreneurs Fund to make a reasonable financial return to demonstrate a sustainable funding source for social enterprises.
We work closely with the social entrepreneurs we support to help them to realise their ambitions and maximise their social impact. Bridges Ventures also works closely with UnLtd, the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs, to help social entrepreneurs seeking funding to become investment-ready. For more information about UnLtd, please email ventures@unltd.org.uk.
The fund is managed by Antony Ross, Skye Heller and Caroline Tulloch.
